The Olney Hymns

The words of John Newton & William Cowper with a fresh and new musical style

Grace And Providence

Almighty king it’s your wondrous hand

That holds the weight of the sea and land

Your grace sufficient and a boundless store

No heart shall break that sighs for more

It’s your good pleasure to provide my food

And it’s your blessing that makes all things good

My soul is fed and nourished by your word

Let all that’s in me praise the Lord

My streams of outward comfort came

From him who built this earthly frame

Whate’er I want his bounty gives

By whom my soul forever lives

Either his hand preserves from pain

Or if I feel it, heals again

From Satan’s malice shields my breast

Or overrules it for the best, for the best

Forgive this song of mine that falls so low

Beneath the debt of gratitude I owe

It means your praises though however poor

No angels song can do no more
